People against Sugar Tax calls for a halt to reformulation of soft drinks

People against Sugar Tax has written to the British Soft Drinks Association, urging them to call a halt to the reformulation (removing sugar) of soft drinks.

In just the last three months alone, Lucozade Orange, Fanta, and Frijj milkshakes have all been re-launched with less sugar.

"There is now a massive choice of low and zero-sugar soft drinks, compared to 30 or 40 years ago. No more reformulation is needed. The soft drink industry's work is done, and they can be proud."

"It's time for industry to show they are on the side of consumers, and not health campaigners. We urge industry to call a halt to this expensive process."
